Validate Your Out of Body Experiences

Once you've had a few OOBEs, the next step is to validate what you're experiencing. The idea here is to prove to yourself that your consciousness is actually traveling to other places.

Why validate? You could just be having nice fantasies, or WILDs. If you don't validate you can't be sure.

WILDS and other lucid dreams are wonderful ways to explore your consciousness, and I'll talk about them at some other time, but they are not OOBEs.

Validating your OOBEs will reinforce your ability, and give you something few human beings living today have: Proof that human consciousness is an infinite, non-physical energy. For many this equates to proof of the human soul, and continuation of existence after physical death.

You absolutely want to validate your OOBEs before you try to travel to higher realms. There are a few ways you can do this.

First and most popular, have a friend leave a random object in a place you both define beforehand. Take a paper and pen and set it on a table next to you when you project. Leave your body and immediately go to this place, look at see what they put there. Go back to your physical body immediately and write down what you saw. You can then go back to your astral projection experience.

Make sure the object your friend chooses is not a playing card, matchbook, paper with writing on it, or similar. It needs to be something with substance, a sneaker, a vase of flowers, a large dinner plate. Tell them to select something larger than your fist and with a fairly well defined shape.

Most people suffer from relative astral blindness when projecting into the physical world. Using small things like playing cards, easily mutable items like pieces of clothing, or objects with writing and patterns you're expected to discern will likely lead to failure.

A second option, and I've mentioned this before, visit a friend. Find out what they're doing and then ask them what they were doing. Of course, this has the drawback of having to wait for them to do something worth mentioning.

There is also the hazard of having had some sort of 'telepathic' connection. Positive validations using this method may seem more like coincidental events, rather than actual proofs, unless you have a large number of them. If your friends lead exciting and highly varied lives, this method may work well for you.

A third method, and one I recommend if you don't have a reliable friend to try the first, is to go somewhere you've never been before. A public place, like a restaurant, a store, a hotel lobby, some place that will have a defined interior.

Again, go back immediately and write down what you saw. I say go immediately, because with time out of body you'll begin to forget, and alter your initial experience.

Some people say go to a neighbor's house that you've never visited, and then go knock on their door with cookies or something, but I'm not recommending this as a first choice. You could be picking up vibes from them, so we have the telepathic issue.

There is also the chance that you may have seen the interior of the home through the window. You may not realize you have, but the subliminal impact of this can't be ignored.

I also don't really recommend natural settings like parks, because they have a general look alike, you'll see trees, possibly a river or a lake, dirt, maybe a building where they have a display of what the park is about. You could easily assume what you're going to see.

If you do happen to visit a natural place while OOB, then definitely look around for unusual, remarkable things that you could later go and check on. As always, go back and write them down and give yourself some idea of where to look for them when you visit again in the flesh.

So once you're comfortable with projecting, validate your experience. You don't have to share your proofs with others if you don't want to, that's not the point. Prove it to yourself, you'll be glad you did.
